How to export your transactions from Discover Bank
Sign in at discover.com. For Discover Bank deposit accounts (Checking/Savings/CD): open the account, go to the Activity/Transactions page, set a date range, and use the Download/Export option to get CSV (also Excel/Quicken formats in some flows). Discover Bank (checking/savings) CSV columns are: Date, Description, Debit, Credit, Balance — note this uses SEPARATE Debit and Credit columns (not one signed amount). Discover CARD (credit card) is a different export with columns: Trans. Date, Post Date, Description, Amount, Category, where Amount is positive for purchases. Quirks: (1) bank export uses separate Debit/Credit columns; (2) card export uses a single Amount column with a sign convention where charges are positive; (3) dates are MM/DD/YYYY (MDY); (4) header row present. ORG/FID (Discover Financial Services / 7101) are confirmed for OFX Direct Connect; no public INTU.BID was found, so it is left blank (do not fabricate). Discover Card historically supported Web Connect downloads, so a BID likely exists but its value is not published.
Once you have the file, drop it into the converter above. LedgerBridge auto-detects the date, amount and description columns — adjust the mapping if needed, choose QBO for QuickBooks (or QFX for Quicken, OFX for Xero), and download.
Tips for Discover Bank files
- Choose MM/DD/YYYY as the date format if auto-detect guesses wrong.
- If withdrawals come in as positive numbers, tick “Flip amount sign”.
- For credit-card exports, set the account type to Credit card.
- If QuickBooks rejects the file, open Advanced and confirm the INTU.BID — selecting “Discover Bank” in the bank dropdown autofills it.

No. The conversion happens entirely in your browser. Your statement and account number never leave your device — safe even for client confidentiality requirements.
Will the file import into QuickBooks?
Yes. We generate a valid OFX 1.0.2 (SGML) document with the correct header and identifiers. Convert a small file free first to confirm it imports cleanly, then unlock unlimited.
